Safari 4 Beta Released – Breaks 1Password

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

As many of you probably already know, the Safari 4 Beta was recently released for Mac and Windows. I have been enjoying it since installing it though those tabs at the top really throw me for a loop sometimes. Along with lots of new features and updates, a nasty side effect came along that would remove the functionality of 1Password (if you have that installed of course). Agile Web Solutions released an update already for 1Password users. You can restore your beloved 1P button by heading on over to the downloads page or read more at the Switcher’s blog.  In know there are other bugs too (I’ve seen some with Flash Player 10 and with my WordPress admin area) but hey, it is beta and it is pretty stable… for now…

Flashpitt 2009 is a Go!

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Many of you probably made your way to Flashpitt 2008 last year here in Pittsburgh.  We actually sold out the first year due to the overwhelming response we got from the community!  Well, my pals Joe and Val are bringing the conference back for 2009.  You can head on over to the Flashpitt website and give your input on what topics and presos you would like to see this year.  While the conference is a ways off (October 15-16), they want to garnish as much input as possible to help ensure that 2009 will be just as beneficial.

Workshops
New to Flashpitt this year is the addition of a workshops day. October 15th, the first day of Flashpitt 2009, will consist of workshops that will go into detail on varying topics and provide you with insight and training from some of the industry’s best.

Stay Updated
In addition to following this blog ;) , you can stay up-to-date with Flashpitt 2009 by following them on Twitter.

Those of you in the Pittsburgh area may want to check out the ART AND CODE symposium going on March 7-9 at CMU. I just got an email from Drew Trujillo (Dr. Woohoo) who will be presenting some “adobe-centric” presentations on “Hijacking Photoshop and Illustrator with Extendscript“, “ExtendScript” and “Getting Started with Extendscript“.  Be sure to check out the info at the ART AND CODE symposium site also!

Adobe Developer Center: Kuler Panel for Flash CS3 Article Updated

Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009

If you have tried to go through the build of the Adobe Kuler Panel for Flash CS3 article on Adobe.com you might have had some problems as of late.  The article was written prior to the release of the Kuler APIs and the need for a developer key.  As of today the article has been updated and the source should contain the proper files to get your panel up and running.
