Kuler Panel for Flash CS3 Updated (v1.4)

Recently, Adobe updated the way that developers access the RSS feeds that provide the information from Kuler.  Because of this change, requiring a developer key to access the API, older applications will need updated in order to stay in working order.

Long story short, my Kuler Panel for Flash CS3 broke.  Thanks to Todd for letting me know!  I took the time to update the panel tonight.  You can access the new MXP and source for the updated panel below.  I will inform the folks at Adobe so that they can update the article on the DevNet and Kuler sections of the site.  The current panel and source from the Adobe site will not function until they update it with this new source.

In case you were wondering, it does function in Flash CS4, despite its name.  Most of you probably already know that Flash CS4 ships with its own Kuler panel already though (as seen above with mine).

Hope this helps you guys that use the panel!  Thanks for all of the feedback!

    Hey,

Just wanted to say thanks for your time spent on this – and if you could update the FW CS3 panel too, that would rock.

    Hey,

I can’t get it to work properly, it’s giving me the following error inside the panel when I click a color theme:

    The follow JavaScript error(s) occurred:

runScript: Argument number 1 is invalid.

What am I doing wrong? I installed the .jsfl and .swf in it’s proper directories. The swf I used though is the one inside the zip file, as I got several errors if I tried to publish the one from the fla.
